To be used at home, at work or outside as a windbreak, to deaden sound or provide privacy. Rugged but delicate, powerful or discreet, the chameleon-like qualities make it an archetypally 21st century furnishing, adapting and evolving to suit its surroundings.

Tom Dixon (1959): Rebelling against the dominant trends of 1980s designs, British designer Tom Dixon emerged as one of the country’s leading voices. Dixon gained acclaim as the creative director of Habitat stores and ascended into museum collections with works produced from his own studio. With a background in welding, Dixon creates designs characterized by a straightforward use of woods and metals, distinct from any stylistic forebears. “I design for longevity, and I want something to be anti-fashion,” Dixon has said. His commitment is less to any ideological statements and more to reinvigorating the vitality and freshness of British furniture design.
